When we got up on top of the ridge, the scrambling was much drier, but also steeper.
We had to go up and down a few times to bypass steep sections.
On a flat area at the right, you can see a large distant cairn.
We had seen the cairn from the col, but it seemed unnecessarily out of the way.
As it turned out, the best route would have been to go out to the cairn and then circle around
and come up underneath the summit, bypassing the steeper scrambling on the ridge. |
